About The Position

This role involves performing specialized medical imaging procedures using x-ray equipment to capture images of the human body. The Diagnostic Rad Tech 1 functions as a patient care specialist, working both independently and as part of a diagnostic team under the supervision of a Diagnostic Supervisor and Radiologists. The position requires adherence to P&P, State Regulations, and ALARA radiation safety principles. The role may involve working in stressful situations, such as trauma cases, and requires a strong focus on patient safety protocols. The Diagnostic Rad Tech 1 serves as the primary point of contact for customers regarding their imaging needs and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.

Requirements

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist required

Responsibilities

Performs tasks abiding by P&P, State Regulations, & ALARA radiation safety principles.
Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body.
Works under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases.
Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
Participates in CQI activities.
