Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ultrasound Technologist) – New and Upcoming Graduates
About The Position
Mayfair Diagnostics is seeking new and upcoming graduate Diagnostic Medical Sonographers who are completing or have recently completed an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and are preparing to write, or have recently written, their Sonography Canada exams. This role offers full-time and part-time opportunities in Calgary, Alberta. As a new graduate, you will start your career in well-supported community clinics with strong Radiologist collaboration, predictable workflows, and a structured environment designed to help you grow with confidence. New graduates will begin scanning in general ultrasound, with structured retraining into additional specialties aligned to Mayfair’s protocols and clinical standards as they progress. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program recognized by Sonography Canada
- Eligible for or holding Sonography Canada credentials
- Strong foundational scanning skills and commitment to patient centered care
- Effective communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Completing or have recently completed an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Preparing to write, or have recently written, their Sonography Canada exams
Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinical protocols and standards of practice
- Ensure diagnostic image quality, patient safety, and professional standards
- Apply foundational clinical judgment to optimize imaging and differentiate findings
- Work collaboratively with Radiologists and clinic teams to support efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
