About The Position

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer functions as a healthcare provider under the delegated authority of a supervising physician. The sonographer provides clinically relevant medical imaging information to assist physicians with patient diagnosis and treatment. The role includes diagnostic sonography services across various clinical specialties. Work is performed consistently with the sonographer’s education and training, facility policies and procedures, and applicable professional standards.

This is a part-time position of 18 hours every two weeks. The schedule is a variable day shift with 9-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, every sixth weekend, and rotating holidays.

Requirements

• Certificate; completion of a two-year Allied Health education program; or an Associate or Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• ARDMS credential in at least one of the following: Abdomen, OBGYN, Pediatric, or MSK.
• ARDMS Breast credentials are required to rotate through the Breast Center.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); RVT registration is required within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• ARDMS credentials in multiple specialties are preferred.
• Vascular experience is preferred.
