We’re a premier manager of outpatient diagnostic imaging facilities, dedicated to our team members' growth and development through our internal multi-modality training program, and we want you. Facility: Novant Health Breast Center - Charlotte Location: 315 Lillington Avenue Charlotte, NC 28204 US Position Type: Contract, 13 weeks with possibility of extension Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, possibility of 4-10s
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Additional training in diagnostic mammography.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent technical abilities and attention to detail.
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Knowledge of Mammography procedures and standards

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammograms to evaluate abnormal findings and assist in the diagnosis of breast conditions.
- Assist with invasive procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations, under the guidance of a physician.
- Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician.
- Ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
- Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the diagnostic mammography procedure.
- Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to maintain the mammography machine in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
- Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
- Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.
