About The Position
The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will assist the Technologist with explaining the procedure to patients and their families and obtain history from the patient. The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will also act as a receptionist, maintain supply inventory, and assist with scheduling and pre-registration services.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED
- Strong computer proficiency
- CPR (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous Windows experience is required.
- Excellent telephone etiquette required.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles.
- Experience in Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Technologist with explaining the procedure to patients and their families.
- Obtain history from the patient.
- Act as a receptionist.
- Maintain supply inventory.
- Assist with scheduling and pre-registration services.
