Under the immediate supervision of Registered Nurse staff and the general direction of the Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, the Support Tech provides ancillary services in the Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit. The role supports patient care, unit room setup and turnover, and basic unit secretary functions. Nice To Haves
- Six months of hospital experience.
- Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing personnel with selected patient support services, including turning, lifting, and transporting patients to and from the Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit.
- Assist nursing personnel with room setup and turnover.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit and peripheral areas.
- Perform basic unit secretary duties, including clerical and receptionist duties, requisitioning supplies and equipment from other departments via order entry, and chart preparation.
