About The Position
Under general supervision of the Radiology Support Supervisor and the Lead technologists, and according to established policies and procedures, provides assistance to patients, their significant others, technologists, physicians and other hospital personnel as assigned or needed in a professional and courteous manner. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED
- Strong computer proficiency
- CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous Windows experience is required.
- Excellent telephone etiquette required.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm
- Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS
