About The Position
Raymonds Auto & Fleet is seeking an experienced A-Level Fleet Diesel Technician to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues, with a focus on electrical and engine performance, fuel, ignition, drivability, 4WD/AWD drivetrain, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems. The position emphasizes high-quality repairs, accurate diagnostics, and honest service in a supportive shop environment that provides modern tools and ongoing training. Technicians are expected to maintain high labor productivity and serve as technical leaders.
Requirements
- 3+ years as a Diesel Technician or equivalent training
- State/local certifications required
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and shop management software
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Own set of up-to-date tools
- Willingness to work toward ASE certifications
- Maintain 90%+ labor productivity

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair advanced electrical and engine performance issues
- Diagnose fuel, ignition, and drivability systems
- Diagnose and repair 4WD / AWD drivetrain systems
- Perform advanced steering, suspension, and brake system repairs
- Perform advanced HVAC diagnostics and repair
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate recommendations
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
- Serve as technical leaders within the shop
