Requirements

HS/GED
0 – 2 years – prior patient care experience preferred
BLS
Mandatory Reporter Training

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred

Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from Radiology from other patient care areas
Assure proper patient identification using 2 (two) forms of verification prior to patient transport
Assess patients' transport needs and alters transport plan as appropriate
Communicate to other areas patient location in radiology
Use oxygen when appropriate at proper levels
Assist in transferring patients to procedure table utilizing proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques
Consult with health team members as needed. Ensures "hand-off" communication is completed
Assure quality patient care in an environment of dignity, worth, and confidentiality
Answer patient call light within Radiology
Transport specimens to the lab as directed by staff per infection control policy
