Experienced DI Trader
About The Position
We are Gelber Group, a proprietary trading firm with over 40 years of experience, known for innovation and technology. We are seeking an Experienced DI Trader to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and grow a new business for the firm in the Brazilian rates market. You will work alongside successful and talented individuals, capitalizing on market opportunities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a strong work ethic, a competitive attitude, and has a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least 3 years. The role can be worked hybrid/in-person in Chicago, New York or Boston. Remote work may be considered for top candidates.
Requirements
- Proven track record of 3-5 years of profitable trading in Brazilian fixed-income markets
- Expertise in directional and curve-based strategies
- Understanding of Brazil’s debt auction process and how it impacts the DI Products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously and as a team player
- Proven self-starter with exceptional product knowledge, trading methodology, and market insight
Responsibilities
- Bring expertise in trading DI futures and related rates products to a highly profitable trading firm
- Own and manage a Brazilian rates trading book, focused on DI futures, either via curve trades or cross-market relative value strategies
- Consistently generate strong, risk-adjusted returns across varying macro and volatility regimes
- Manage your own portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions
- Collaborate across your trading desk to execute teams’ goals while ensuring core risk and compliance standards are met
