DevSecOps/Software Infrastructure Engineer – Level 2/3 (Chandler) (AHT)

Northrop Grumman•Chandler, AZ
•$79,300 - $147,600•Onsite

About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring an early- to mid-career DevSecOps/Software Infrastructure Engineer for the Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI) Flight Software Team in Chandler, Arizona. The role strengthens the software factory supporting flight software, algorithms, and modeling-and-simulation development by improving the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of engineering workflows. The position is 100% onsite and does not accommodate telecommuting. The work schedule is 9/80, with every other Friday off, and travel is 10% of the time. The engineer will support GitLab CI/CD pipelines, containerized development environments, software-package management, automated testing, and large-scale software execution. The work involves Podman and OCI-compatible containers, Visual Studio Code development containers, Linux environments, infrastructure automation, and C++ and Python applications. The role includes investigating and resolving complex issues across builds, tests, containers, dependencies, development environments, and software runsets, including identifying whether an issue arises from infrastructure, software, models, or flight dynamics. The engineer will establish and mature repeatable processes for container builds, package and dependency management, automated testing, software releases, and large-scale execution environments. The position may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3. It requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance, and the position is contingent upon receiving final clearances and program access within a reasonable period as determined by the company. Relocation assistance may be available.
