About The Position
Automate how Department of Defense test environments are built, patched, and torn down using Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI. The role supports a new Defense Health Agency program and is contingent upon contract award; the start date will align with the program start. The preferred location is onsite at the test center in Chantilly, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C. area. Remote work from Huntsville, Alabama, or elsewhere in the continental United States is also possible through government-approved virtual desktop access, with trips to Chantilly when needed.
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or systems automation.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible and a CI tool such as GitLab CI.
- Linux administration experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the background investigation designated by DHA for this position.
- DoD 8140 qualification for the work role before obtaining privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months.
Nice To Haves
- vSphere experience.
- Python or PowerShell scripting.
- An active Secret clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and pipeline jobs.
- Build VM templates and configuration baselines.
- Automate patching and STIG compliance checks.
- Support environment requests from program test teams.
