About The Position

Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Journeyman) to support the MODES III program, which focuses on Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). The selected candidate will be responsible for integrating security, automation, and operational controls into development and deployment pipelines to ensure the secure and reliable delivery of MODES III systems. This is a remote position requiring an active Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • 5 years relevant experience with BS/BA degree or 3 years with MS/MA or 1 year with Phd or 9 years w/o a degree ot 7 years with AS/AA
  • Demonstration of capability within the Cyberspace IT workforce via an approved industry certification (e.g., A+ or Network+) or documented equivalent military/educational training as defined in the DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix.

Nice To Haves

  • Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience supporting large-scale government IT modernization programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • CompTIA Security+

Responsibilities

  • Supports development, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines that integrate security, testing, and compliance controls.
  • Assists with automation of build, deployment, and configuration processes to improve reliability, repeatability, and deployment efficiency.
  • Supports integration of security scanning, vulnerability detection, and compliance checks into DevSecOps workflows in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
  • Assists with monitoring, logging, and operational support of deployed systems to ensure availability, performance, and security posture.
