About The Position

DecisionPoint seeks DevSecOps Engineers to support continuous integration, automated deployment, security scanning, and environment configuration activities within a large federal and DoD-aligned Content Management System ecosystem. These roles enable secure, reliable, and repeatable delivery of platform enhancements and code deployments, ensuring high-quality operational performance and alignment with DoD cybersecurity requirements. The DevSecOps Engineer contributes to the automation of build and deployment pipelines, manages version control workflows, integrates security tools and scans, and ensures consistent and compliant configuration of CMS environments. These positions work closely with developers, architects, cybersecurity staff, and infrastructure teams to support efficient and secure delivery pipelines. These positions are fully remote.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting DevOps, DevSecOps, or cloud automation engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, automated deployments, and environment configuration.
  • Experience integrating security scanning tools into development or deployment workflows.
  • Experience supporting version control, repository management, and branching strategies.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment automation scripts.
  • Understanding of containerization concepts and orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of secure coding and DevSecOps best practices aligned with DoD security requirements.
  • Experience with configuration management, environment variables, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification.
  • Strong problem solving abilities with expertise in diagnosing pipeline issues and environment inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with developers, cybersecurity teams, and infrastructure staff.
  • Ability to design and implement secure, repeatable, and scalable automation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery quality and security compliance.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-driven development environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including deployment pipelines and hosting configurations.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS SysOps Administrator certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI ACP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, operation, and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines used for CMS deployments and backend integrations.
  • Automate build, testing, and deployment processes to improve consistency, repeatability, and delivery speed.
  • Integrate security scanning tools, static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into the development pipeline.
  • Configure CMS environments, deployment settings, application parameters, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Manage version control workflows, branching strategies, and repository organization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and environment inconsistencies.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tools supporting CMS performance, deployment visibility, and issue triage.
  • Support containerization, infrastructure-as-code templates, and automation frameworks where applicable.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security requirements, patching standards, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Document pipeline processes, configuration baselines, system changes, and automation procedures.
