About The Position

Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a Department of Defense customer from its Linthicum, Maryland office. The role is part of a highly talented, motivated, and high-performing team working in cyber investigations, digital forensics, cyber threat analysis, and mission support. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise, analytical skills, and innovative problem-solving to address complex cyber challenges and help protect national security interests.

The team is expected to provide on-site coverage from 0600 to 1800, Monday through Friday. Schedules will be coordinated among team members to ensure coverage; core hours are 0930 to 1430, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or a PhD and 3+ years of experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience or specialized training may be considered instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Expertise developing Kubernetes objects and Helm charts.
• Expertise building automated pipelines for building, securing, and deploying solutions with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science is highly desired.
• Experience writing Terraform to deploy AWS GovCloud or Azure Government infrastructure.
• Experience integrating software with single sign-on solutions.
• Experience with agile software delivery lifecycles, particularly requirements analysis, design, and testing.
• Experience working in a disconnected network that is not connected to the internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of software and infrastructure solutions in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Build automated pipelines for security assessments, testing, and deployment of Infrastructure and Configuration as Code.
• Support security audits and assessments of deployed infrastructure.
