About The Position

We are seeking an expert-level DevSecOps Engineer to architect, support, and maintain secure cloud-based pipelines and automation ecosystems in support of a high-priority Department of Defense space program. This is a mission-critical role where your work directly enables warfighter capabilities. You will own the security, performance, and reliability of a DevSecOps pipeline operating in a classified environment, while leading the migration of infrastructure from IL-5 to IL-6 and building out centralized tooling for development teams.

Requirements

  • DevOps / DevSecOps pipeline architecture and operations
  • Cloud infrastructure — AWS GovCloud and Cloud One services
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Linux administration
  • CI/CD pipeline development and automation
  • Active Secret clearance — mandatory, no exceptions
  • Security+ certification or higher
  • Strong understanding of RMF steps 0–5 and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Experience with Continuous Monitoring and patching operations in IL-6 environments
  • Ability to collaborate with cybersecurity teams on requirements including CI/CD hardening

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with: OWASP tools, SD Elements, CloudTrail, Nexus, Artifactory, Loki, Promtail, Tempo

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure cloud products and services within a classified government cloud environment
  • Lead the migration of existing DevSecOps pipelines and tools from IL-5 to an IL-6 enclave, including tool analysis, replacement planning, and full implementation
  • Present technical findings and tool analysis at internal and external Architecture Review Boards
  • Develop and maintain fully automated CI/CD build processes across multiple environments
  • Write, build, and deploy scripts to support full automation of CI/CD and testing workflows
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) and patching operations in the IL-6 enclave
  • Develop a centralized developer portal integrating key tools, documentation, and automated notifications
  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and ongoing maintenance
  • Enable successful release management by moving code through Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments
  • Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security teams to automate and support cloud-based infrastructure and tooling
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency
