About The Position

Flexion is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for an enterprise-level application development project supporting trusted AI adoption across government. The role focuses on infrastructure, cloud architecture, identity, and secure operations rather than application or UI development, though the engineer should be comfortable navigating Python and TypeScript codebases. The position calls for strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how technical work fits into a broader software landscape. The team practices test-driven development with full code coverage and generally works through transparent, open-source development. Flexion describes its culture as autonomous, collaborative, low-hierarchy, and grounded in trust, transparency, constructive feedback, and shared responsibility for team success. Teams collaborate online in small groups about half the time and aim to develop demonstrable software every week or two. Employees are expected to adapt to changing requirements, advocate for quality, find root causes, and use AI assistants as tools to accelerate work while maintaining quality.
