DevSecOps Engineer Principal
About The Position
SAIC is seeking an experienced DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer to support our Department of the Air Force customer in both development and engineering practice, and site reliability engineering and operations. The DevSecOps Engineer will build, manage, maintain and scale operational infrastructure and the supporting platforms and be a critical subject matter expert for consulting and implementation support. SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements across the technology spectrum and distributed architectures to deliver a cutting-edge approach. We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and highly organized DSO to join our dynamic team. As a DSO, you will play a critical role in deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud development, staging, testing, and operational environments in support of our nation’s most challenging national security missions. This position is located ONSITE in Reston, VA.
Requirements
- Experienced DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer
- Experience in development and engineering practice
- Experience in site reliability engineering and operations
- Ability to build, manage, maintain and scale operational infrastructure and supporting platforms
- Subject matter expert for consulting and implementation support
- Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud development, staging, testing, and operational environments
- Experience with continuous build/integration infrastructure
- Experience with Source Control Management/Documentation
- Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI build processes
- Experience writing, building and deploying scripts
- Experience supporting CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance
- Experience supporting full automation of CI/CD testing
- Experience supporting policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for CI/CD operations and developer work
- Experience enabling successful release management
- Experience working closely with software developers, production support, and information security
- Experience automating and supporting infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms
- Experience providing guidance and applying agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices
- Experience identifying opportunities to automate and increase efficiency
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible
- Maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure
- Provide Source Control Management/Documentation, create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts
- Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance. Support full automation of CI/CD testing
- Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers
- Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production
- Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
- Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of product
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate and increase efficiency
