About The Position

The DevSecOps Cloud Engineer supports the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract 3 (NISSC 3). The role evaluates, designs, implements, and tests cloud deployments, coordinating with cloud service providers to develop hybrid cloud solutions. The engineer works with vendor technical consultants and program engineering teams to deploy cloud environments for development, testing, and operations, and provides IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services to hybrid-cloud users.

The position ensures cloud solutions meet cybersecurity requirements for achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO). It also advises program leadership on solutions, integration strategy, and system sustainment, while contributing to project schedules, risk mitigation, lessons learned, and stakeholder updates. This is a full-time, on-site position performed in a secure, classified workspace.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance; the posting also lists a Top Secret clearance requirement.
• IAT Level II certification, such as Security+.
• At least 4 years of general work experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
• Experience integrating Terraform to provision systems and services and track configuration drift.
• AWS Cloud Certified Associate certification or equivalent Azure certification(s).
• Experience generating architectural diagrams that illustrate cloud designs and associated services.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• AWS Cloud Certified Associate Professional certification or equivalent Azure certification(s).
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
• Experience migrating services from government on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid cloud.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, document lessons learned, and deliver regular stakeholder updates.
