About The Position

North Point Technology is looking to hire a DevOps / Systems Engineer to work on our Cloud Automation Advancements Team. The qualified candidate must have an active TS security clearance, and will work hand in hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This role involves standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments, along with the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast moving cloud automation environment and enjoys building reliable, innovative systems in support of the mission. This job requires active TS clearance. Requirements

Active TS security clearance
Experience with cloud computing and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
System design and architecture across hardware, software, and networking
Working knowledge of custom code development and code reviews
Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflows
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting
Experience with RedHat OpenShift
Experience developing web applications with Python
Ability to obtain SCI post hire
DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+)

Nice To Haves

Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
Experience using AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)
Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers
Experience writing, maintaining, and documenting architecture diagrams
Experience with team collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Microsoft and/or AWS certifications
