About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Remote DevOps Specialist for a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract role focusing on hands-on server administration, environment management, and release deployments. The position involves providing 3rd level support, including incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications, as well as managing the installation, testing, tuning, and upgrading of server environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Specialist
- Experience with Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022
- Experience with IIS and .NET application integration
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Firewall, and both Local and Global load balancing
- Experience with CD tools such as Ansible Tower, Jenkins, or Digital.ai Release
- Ability to troubleshoot application integration issues in Windows and cross-platform environments
- Expertise in analyzing IIS logs
- Ability to troubleshoot .NET-based web application integration issues
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager
- PowerShell or Python scripting knowledge
- Experience migrating applications to containers
- Experience with tools like Autosys, Splunk, Wireshark, WinSCP, or OpenSSH
Responsibilities
- Perform server full builds, including installing and configuring all requirements such as drivers, vendor software, and custom code
- Manage test environments by addressing issues, documenting fixes, and developing plans to prevent future problems
- Execute release deployments, including the installation of homegrown and vendor software in production environments
- Provide 3rd level support for web applications, including incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution
- Handle day-to-day administration tasks such as installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and loading patches
