About The Position

The Cisco Workspace for Government Team is in search of an exceptional DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain critical application infrastructure that supports mission-critical government operations. At Cisco, your ability to tackle complex problems and build reliable, scalable solutions will help shape the future of technology and contribute to making our nation safer. The successful applicant will be performing work on US Government classified environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or software development roles.
  • Proficiency in AWS technologies, including EKS, Secrets Manager, Security Groups, and Networking.
  • Strong skills in Terraform and Kubernetes for managing scalable, reliable infrastructure.
  • Experience in programming and scripting in Python.
  • Experience with Helm and Ansible to manage Kubernetes workloads and configuration automation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Army-specific or government-related IT policies, frameworks, or regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of additional cloud infrastructure tools and best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency GitOps Tooling including configuration, deployment and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based application infrastructure, including services such as ECR, EKS, S3, and Networking.
  • Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams inside of Cisco and external to Cisco to address dependencies and ensure seamless integration across projects.
  • Work with Terraform (TF) and Kubernetes (K8s) to automate and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Develop scripts and automation tools, with a focus on Python, to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
