About The Position

Sunaayu, LLC is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and deploying a cutting-edge technology stack for the DIA-NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a significant 10-year program modernizing the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P), offering the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical capabilities within a collaborative and innovative environment. While the primary work location is on-site in Bethesda, MD, the position offers a flexible schedule with occasional remote work possibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 4-8 years of relevant experience; 4+ years with a Master’s.
Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Strong Linux proficiency.
Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
Demonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments.
Enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working with teammates across a range of technical backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating systems at scale.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Development experience (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.).
Experience supporting enterprise or production systems.
Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS).
Familiarity with Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Familiarity with GPU-based Kubernetes.
Familiarity with SALT for deployment automation.
Familiarity with Helm / Helmfile.
Familiarity with Nexus.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture.
Support systems administration, installation, and configuration.
Promote the adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams.
Collaborate closely with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability.
Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities.
