About The Position

We are seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer to support the design, development, evaluation, and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products across the full system lifecycle. In this role, you will apply a holistic approach to system development. You will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development. You will design interfaces and integrate system elements to ensure they function together as a complete system. You will assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. You will participate in system conceptual design and contribute to the documentation of design concepts. You will also participate in design reviews of hardware and software components to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. You will implement DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Artifactory. You will perform security hardening, patching, and server certificate updates. You will work with and maintain a proficient understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies, including cost estimations. You will also lead the development of documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an area relevant to the position, with 2 or more years of relevant experience or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
  • Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
  • Experience work with the AWS Cloud (e.g. EC2s, S3, RDS, ElasticCache)
  • Linux Sys Admin experience
  • Willing to work full time in a SCIF.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with OpenShift, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Wildfly
  • Experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Wildfly, Docker, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git
  • Experience installing, updating, and managing Server certificates and trust stores/keystores
  • Experience implementing STIG hardening, CI/CD pipelines
  • Managing multiple environments (development, testing and production)
