About The Position

A key client has an immediate full-time need for DevOps Engineers to work at its Fairfax, Virginia headquarters. The role supports migration and deployment of applications across on-premises and cloud infrastructures in a fast-paced environment. Engineers will help onboard new tenants, assist application developers with creating deployments and standing up common services, and recommend solutions to maximize efficient use of hardware resources. A minimum of Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required; CI Poly is preferred, and employees without one would sit for a CI Poly while working.

Requirements

• Minimum Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon or Azure and/or hardware and virtualization such as HPE or VMware.
• Experience navigating the Kubernetes landscape and familiarity with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools and software.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Experience with configuration management automation, such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Experience deploying applications using CI/CD and Git workflows, including pipelines using GitLab or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Experience with Linux, specifically RHEL 9 or RPM-based systems.
• Experience or exposure to metrics tools such as Elastic.
• Experience working within a program of record supporting security requirements and system hardening.
• Scripting experience with languages such as Python or Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• CI Poly; applicants without one would sit for a CI Poly while working.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience with storage provisioning, such as OpenEBS or S3, and data backup and restore.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design.
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment that supports rapidly changing requirements.
