About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a Platform Engineer to support the United States Air Force, leveraging Platform Engineering expertise in a high-impact role. This position involves operating a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Developer Platform. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, translating business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with Security and Compliance teams and other Platform Engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams. The role requires expertise in AWS cloud, Cloud and Network Security, Containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, along with strong communication skills to work independently, lead others, and collaborate across development teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with DevOps for Containerized and Kubernetes production systems
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud and Network Security architecture
  • Experience with the DoW
  • Experience with hardened AMIs and Container Images
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain a DoW 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic or static code analysis, and promoting solutions into higher classification environments
  • Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
  • Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
  • Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
  • Experience in multiple cloud service providers (CSP)
  • Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics, or engineering
  • DoW 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification
