About The Position

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a DevOps Engineer at our Palo Alto, CA location to enable effective and efficient delivery of cloud services, focusing on the service uptime, performance, and scalability. The role serves as a bridge between product and reliability engineering and scaled-out cloud portfolio delivery and operations, leveraging strong knowledge of cloud products as well as understanding harmonized cloud delivery of the SAP cloud services’ portfolio. The engineer will develop and automate infrastructure and workflows, aligned with best practices and operational goals, to streamline software delivery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering) is expected to ensure smooth and frequent software delivery and improve software performance and health. Monitoring system performance and working with cross-functional teams to incorporate incident feedback into future updates, as well as detecting and preventing issues proactively, are key aspects of the role. Ensuring compliance and effectiveness in software delivery and operational standards, and reducing deployment cycles while improving software quality to enable businesses to release features and fixes quickly are also expected.

Requirements

Three (3) years involving CI/CD automation using Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps, Helm, and Terraform
Three (3) years involving Kubernetes and Hashi Corp cluster management
Three (3) years involving Public cloud platforms using Google, Azure, or AWS
Three (3) years involving Monitoring and observability tools including Splunk, Cloud Logging Search (CLS), and Dynatrace
Three (3) years involving Data frame API, Data analysis, data extraction, and transformations
Three (3) years involving Python and common frameworks
Three (3) years involving Working with SAP technologies, including SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, HANA Cloud, HANA Spark, and HANA Data Lake Filesystem
Three (3) years involving Application Testing and Quality Assurance
Two (2) years involving Designing and developing large scale data intensive applications
Two (2) years involving Java or Python based Microservices and REST APIs development

Responsibilities

Serve as a bridge between product and reliability engineering and scaled-out cloud portfolio deliver and operations, leveraging strong knowledge of cloud products as well as understanding harmonized cloud delivery of the SAP cloud services’ portfolio.
