About The Position

Glimpse is the leading AI platform for CPG brands, automating critical back-office workflows. Since launching in April 2024, the company has grown rapidly to over 200 customers and secured $52M in funding. Glimpse's AI agents handle tasks like retrieving deduction data, validating charges, automating cash application, and disputing invalid claims, significantly improving efficiency and revenue recovery for CPG brands. The company is seeking exceptional individuals to help scale its operations. As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Google Cloud infrastructure, including architecture, provisioning, security, and cost optimization using Terraform. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of the company's GCP environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in DevOps/infrastructure engineering.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years hands-on experience with GCP and Terraform in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience containerizing applications and operating Kubernetes (GKE preferred) in production.
  • Experience migrating stateful workloads (databases, persistent storage) without data loss.
  • Strong Linux, networking, and IAM/security fundamentals.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 5 days a week in-person startup environment in NYC.

Nice To Haves

  • Kubernetes observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
  • Experience taking an existing production environment to full Infrastructure-as-Code coverage.
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper) for Kubernetes RBAC and network policies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform, including compute (GCE, GKE, Cloud Run), networking, storage, and IAM.
  • Own Terraform module structure and remote state management, including drift detection.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
  • Enforce least-privilege IAM across projects, folders, and organization policies.
  • Manage cost visibility and optimization, including budgets, alerts, rightsizing, and committed use discounts.
  • Build monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring/Logging.
  • Assess existing workloads and create a prioritized plan for containerization and migration.
  • Containerize applications by writing and maintaining Dockerfiles and resolving dependency issues.
  • Design and provision GKE cluster architecture via Terraform.
  • Migrate stateful services (databases, persistent volumes) with explicit rollback plans.
  • Implement secrets management for containerized workloads.
  • Build CI/CD for container builds and Kubernetes deployments.
  • Define and enforce Kubernetes RBAC and network policies.
  • Document infrastructure architecture, migration runbooks, and decision records.
  • Partner with engineering on deployment needs without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotation for infrastructure and migrated workloads.
  • Coordinate with security/compliance on infrastructure-layer controls.
