About The Position

B&A is seeking a motivated and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to support the development, automation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Linux administration, and automation tools, along with a strong desire to grow within a collaborative DevOps environment. This role will work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline deployment processes, maintain cloud environments, and ensure operational stability across multiple environments.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and administration.
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or AWS Systems Manager.
Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting and/or Windows Server administration with PowerShell.
Knowledge of containers and container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or related infrastructure role.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving technologies.
Top Secret clearance required to start.

Nice To Haves

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience supporting hybrid Linux and Windows server environments.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and vulnerability remediation.
Experience monitoring and logging using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
Familiarity with networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, and security groups within AWS.
Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps environments.
Relevant technical certifications are a plus, including: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).

Responsibilities

Manage and support Kubernetes-based application deployments across multiple environments.
Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines for containerized applications and infrastructure updates.
Automate Linux and Windows server administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
Assist with the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of AWS cloud environments.
Implement and maintain security standards and compliance requirements for Linux and Windows environments.
Support infrastructure provisioning, system upgrades, patching, and operational troubleshooting.
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to infrastructure and deployment processes.
Document deployment procedures, automation workflows, and operational standards.
