The Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, and reliable enterprise-technology services to partner agencies, enabling them to better serve Hoosier taxpayers. IOT acts as a technology and solution enabler, helping agencies achieve business objectives and innovation. The DevOps Engineer will deliver enterprise-grade DevOps engineering capabilities supporting GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC), AWS Transform, AI Foundry, and other shared platform services. This role involves designing, implementing, and governing statewide developer platforms to ensure secure, compliant, reproducible, and scalable DevOps workflows for all agencies. Responsibilities include platform provisioning, Copilot governance, audit configuration, and compliance monitoring. The engineer will collaborate with security, enterprise architecture, vendor partners, CloudOps, and agency development teams to align platform practices with State of Indiana cybersecurity standards, NIST requirements, and modern cloud-native engineering approaches. The role also focuses on building and maintaining shared CI/CD pipeline patterns, reusable workflow templates, and automation standards to facilitate safe and consistent agency onboarding onto modern development tooling. Additionally, the engineer will integrate platform monitoring into IOT enterprise systems, support incident response for platform-level issues, and assist agencies in adopting best practices for branching strategies, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automated testing, and secure deployment automation. This blended role aims to drive statewide digital modernization by enabling secure, standardized, and AI-enhanced software delivery practices across Indiana’s public sector. This is an onsite position located at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
