About The Position

Raft is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support their customers and join their passionate team. This role involves actively developing and implementing end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles, ensuring processes are both secure and efficient. The engineer will collaborate with clients on designing and implementing Kubernetes or Docker solutions, build CI/CD pipelines for smooth software updates, and apply GitOps principles for software delivery. A key aspect of the role is ensuring development and software continuous delivery and integrations use security best practices, and that deployed capabilities meet security requirements and pass testing. The engineer will also work with cloud deployment activities to ensure configurations meet STIG or DOD security standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in DevSecOps Principles with a master’s degree in a relevant field. In lieu of a master’s a bachelor’s with 18 years of experience is acceptable.
Develop and implement end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles
Experience with AWS and cloud technologies
Good grasp of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies
Networking experience
Experience or knowledge of Service-Mesh, such as Istio
Good knowledge of version control systems like Gitlab
Experience in software systems development using CI/CD pipelines
Strong problem-solving skills
Familiar with Java, Node.js, Terraform Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python
Passionate about automation, system efficiency, and security
Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools
Proficient in tools like AWS Cloud Services, Gitlab, Ansible, Maven, Gradle
Experience with Unit/Integration Testing
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment with Raft
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
Active Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience with writing custom Helm Charts
Basic experience with Big Data
Multilingual programming abilities
Knowledge in automation languages like Python or GoLang

Responsibilities
