About The Position

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support TEALMISSILE, at Annapolis Junction, MD. Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of a modernization effort to converge NSA’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. Work location is a combination of 135 National Business Parkway, Annapolis Junction, MD and up to 1 day per week of telework as project tasking allows.

Linux
AWS, MASH, and VMs
Docker Swarm
Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
Ansible scripting and development
Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
Git
Top secret clearance
Polygraphs must have been completed within the last seven years
Applicant must have an active Top Secret Clearance
US citizenship at the time of application

Responsibilities

Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in DevOps development/engineering such as installing and configuring software; managing servers, networks, and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining systems for required levels of security, performance, and accreditation; and troubleshooting issues and outages
Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ELK
Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in scripting such as Terraform, Ansible
Shall have familiarity with developing DevOps for Microsoft Windows or UNIX/Linux/Centos family of operating systems
Shall understand technical writing and have familiarity with technical documents in support of a software development project
Deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages
