About The Position

WWT is seeking a DEVOPS Engineer to join their Government Services team, which provides cleared resources with a global reach to federal civilian, Department of Defense (DoD), and intelligence community markets. This is a full-time direct hire position. The role involves serving on a team of technical engineers in support of multiple government programs. Candidates will be the architect of CI/CD pipelines, the guardian of cloud environments, and the bridge between Software Engineering and IT Operations teams, with a mission to ensure software is delivered quickly, reliably, and securely. The ideal candidate will possess good communication, presentation, and writing skills, a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player, and capable of working in a technically challenging environment supporting the Navy. Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent years of combined experience and training.
  • 5+ years of IT experience with 1-2 years of hands on experience working with the technologies listed above.
  • DoD 8570 Certification: IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Ability to maintain a minimum Secret U.S. government security clearance.
  • Must currently have an active Secret Security Clearance or above.
  • Not able to offer visa sponsorship, 1099 status, or work with C2C for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain modular infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Git, and/or Ansible.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop and optimize automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to increase engineering velocity.
  • Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud Architecture: Manage and scale cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage microservices using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS).
  • Monitoring & Observability: Implement robust logging and monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
  • Security (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle, including secret management and vulnerability scanning.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts to include: Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routing fundamentals
