About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer with strong AWS and CI/CD expertise to support the deployment and operational management of scalable, secure applications, preferably high-availability or public-facing systems. This is a contractor position for a duration of 5–6 months.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
7-10 years of DevOps / Cloud experience
Strong hands-on experience in AWS.
Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitLab
Experience with IaC: CloudFormation (preferred) or Terraform
Experience with Containers: Docker
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
Expert – Groovy/ YAML
Basic working knowledge of MongoDB Atlas & NewRelic.
Scripting: Python / Bash
Experience with deployment strategies (blue-green / rolling)
Basic monitoring/logging: CloudWatch / ELK / similar
Understanding of DevOps practices
Working experience of Agile/SCRUM/Kanban methodologies.

Nice To Haves

AWS certifications
Exposure to microservices architecture
Experience in high-availability or critical systems (elections, finance, public platforms)
Basic knowledge of security tools (Snyk, SonarQube)

Responsibilities

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab
Manage infrastructure using CloudFormation (AWS-focused)
Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EKS, ECS, or EC2-based setups)
Work on containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes – intermediate to expert ), Puppet, lambda functions, CDN (akamai/cloudfront/cloudformation)
Implement monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, basic observability tools)
Automate build, deployment, and configuration processes
Support incident resolution and production stability
Collaborate with development teams for release management
Ensure basic security best practices (secrets management, IAM, pipeline security)
