About The Position

The DevOps Integration Engineer - Submarine Combat Systems, will be responsible for integration of software components into the Linux-based Common Computing Environment (CCE) PaaS. The candidate will also be responsible for improving the software build process along with setup and configuration of hardware/software test environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience integrating containerized software applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime such as Docker Swarm.
  • Skilled in development of bash and python scripts to automate installation, test, and monitoring of software components.
  • Advanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software problems.
  • Experience with integration testing for deploying and managing custom containerized applications and open-source tools and components.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansible infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Red Hat System Administrator/Engineer certification.
  • Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems.
