Our platform reaches tens of millions of Americans and is built on the belief that better health starts with better conversations. mPulse is looking for a DevOps Engineer III who will fit into the internal technology team. The DevOps Engineer III is a key member of the engineering team, responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy. This includes collaborating with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to implement processes, tools, and practices that enable the continuous delivery of high-quality software. The DevOps Engineer III is also responsible for contributing to the design and deployment of scalable, highly available infrastructure and systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technical challenges and contribute to the company's ability to deliver value to its customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices, tools, and technologies, including experience with continuous integration, deployment, and delivery
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience with deploying and managing infrastructure on these platforms using tools such as Github Actions, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Terraform
  • Experience with managing source code repositories, particularly Github, and adhering to best practices for code review and branching
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and experience with shell and python scripting
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production systems
  • Experience with security and compliance in a DevOps environment, including an understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Communicates and collaborates with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop the correct solution
  • Is responsive to assigned Bugs / hotfixes
  • Has successfully completed and released production code
  • Demonstrates ability to describe mPulse business and client base
  • Contributes regularly to technical discussions
  • Has demonstrated repeated technical project success
  • Makes effective use of development environment and tools

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy
  • Work with development, product, and the rest of the DevOps team to ensure that software is delivered to production quickly and with confidence
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of scalable, highly available infrastructure and systems on AWS using Hashicorp suite of tools; Nomad, Consul, Vault and Terraform
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that their work is integrated into the company's DevOps pipeline in a seamless and efficient manner
  • Assist in the management of the company's source code repository on Github and enforce best practices for code review and branching
  • Monitor the health and performance of the company's production systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support and incident response for critical production systems
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that the company's DevOps processes and infrastructure meet industry standards and regulations
  • Provide guidance to DevOps Engineer I, II and serve as team mentor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
