About The Position

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer I to join a small, skilled infrastructure team working on the systems that power a global registrar. This isn't a ticket-queue role — you'll have real ownership over automation, monitoring, and reliability across on-prem and cloud environments, working directly alongside development and operations to ship improvements that matter.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or systems administration role
  • Solid Linux administration and scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)
  • Working knowledge of DNS, WAF/CDN basics, and standard security practices
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Practical comfort using AI tools for coding, debugging, and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Relevant certifications (AWS, CKA) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Support our DNS and edge network stack (including Cloudflare CDN/WAF and DNSSEC)
  • Keep our monitoring and alerting pipelines healthy across tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Contribute to incident response
  • Help automate away the manual work that slows teams down
  • Work with AI coding assistants and workflow automation tools to accelerate troubleshooting and build lightweight integrations between internal systems

Benefits

  • Multiple health, dental, and vision insurance options (most fully company-paid for employees)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Paid parental leave
  • Ongoing training
  • Certifications
  • Regular team events
