About the Role: While primarily remote, this role may require occasional visits to the Bristol office or London. Are you ready to dive into the world of DevOps and make a tangible impact? We are looking for a proactive and eager DevOps Engineer who is keen to learn, grow, and get involved in exciting tasks that keep our infrastructure running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone with a good knowledge of Kubernetes, IAC best practices and GCP.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related field.
- Experience of cloud infrastructure primarily GCP.
- Experience with Linux command line and networking, particularly within Kubernetes environments.
- A willingness to dive into complex systems, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
- A strong understanding of security best practices.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Ansible, Redis, and Jenkins.
- An understanding of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience working with distributed and remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and support of tooling to streamline the deployment and maintenance of our products.
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and ArgoCD to deploy applications from development through to production environments.
- Support both in-house and third-party applications, including handling deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Write and manage automation pipelines for application deployment and maintenance.
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
- Document processes and best practices clearly and concisely.
- Participating in on-call rotation.
