About the position
LastPass is seeking a CI/CD DevOps Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving software deployment and IT infrastructure. Your main tasks will include automating the build and deployment process, setting up and maintaining environments, and monitoring and troubleshooting production systems. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of DevOps tools and technologies, operational knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu operating systems, experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, and familiarity with containerization technologies and CI/CD technologies. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software deployment and IT infrastructure
- Automate the process of building and deploying code into different environments
- Set up, improve, and maintain environments
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems
- Have a good understanding of DevOps tools and technologies
- Deliver solutions and provide root cause analysis for operational problems
- Possess operational knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu operating systems
- Have hands-on experience maintaining highly available infrastructure
- Understand cloud technologies such as AWS
- Work with containerization technologies (Docker, EKS, ECS)
- Have an infrastructure as a code mindset (CloudFormation, CDK or similar)
- Have experience in scripting languages (Bash or similar)
- Work with CI/CD technologies (GitLab CI)
- Have hands-on experience with monitoring infrastructure using commercial or open-source monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Be part of a dedicated operations community to improve operational practices
- Use technical expertise to generate ideas and guidance for teams
- Work with architects and security experts to ensure secure, reliable, maintainable, and scalable services
- Design, build, and manage CI/CD systems and pipelines
- Maintain build and deployment processes
- Standardize and automate build and release processes
- Support and improve tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management
- Create fully automated Kubernetes environments
- Document and communicate improvements for stakeholders
- Work closely with developer teams to ensure quality gates and organizational standards are met
Requirements
- Good understanding of DevOps tools and technologies used across the industry
- Ability to deliver solutions and provide root cause analysis for operational problems
- Operational knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu operating systems
- Hands-on experience maintaining highly available infrastructure
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS
- Work experience with containerization technologies (Docker, EKS, ECS)
- Infrastructure as a code mindset (CloudFormation, CDK or similar)
- Experience in any scripting language (Bash, or similar)
- Work experience with CI/CD technologies (GitLab CI)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring infrastructure with commercial or open-source monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
