About The Position

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a DevOps Developer II to contribute to the development and delivery of cross-domain solutions. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead mission-critical initiatives that enable secure information sharing across multiple domains. The DevOps Developer II will design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems — including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, large-scale data manipulation, real-time systems, and business information systems — based on documented requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field and 14 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C++ and Java.
  • Test and Dataflow experience.
  • Experience with NIFI, SALT or LINUX OS.
  • Experience with ROXY and RHEL 9.
  • Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, test, and document software components to meet defined design, performance, and functional requirements.
  • Analyze user and system requirements, perform requirements synthesis, and support system-level design decisions including hardware/software tradeoffs and COTS/GOTS reuse.
  • Design, code, and modify software - adding new features, improving performance, and adapting solutions to new hardware or operating environments.
  • Debug, resolve software defects, investigate problem areas, and enhance existing systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Develop and execute test procedures; review test results; and ensure proper integration of software into existing or new environments.
  • Create, modify, and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories—including both simple and complex data query development.
  • Develop algorithms and data-processing solutions that meet or exceed system performance standards, including manipulation of large datasets and real-time processing requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and improve technical documentation and software development process standards.
  • Lead or contribute as part of a software development team, providing technical guidance at levels appropriate to the development process.
  • Analyze system flows, data usage, and user workflows to develop software solutions using scientific analysis and modeling to predict outcomes and ensure mission-aligned results.
