About The Position

Mitchell 1, a Snap-on company, is seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our Azure DevOps ecosystem across multiple product lines. This is a highly visible technical leadership role where you'll define enterprise DevOps standards, architect scalable cloud solutions, and partner with engineering, security, and business leaders to drive modernization initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Microsoft Azure Architect Expert certification (or equivalent)
5+ years of cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture experience
3+ years designing enterprise-scale CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code solutions
Deep expertise with Azure DevOps Services, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans
Strong Terraform experience, including module design and environment management
Experience integrating security, compliance, and identity controls into cloud architectures
Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

Architect and govern end-to-end Azure DevOps and cloud platform solutions
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), security controls, monitoring, and release management processes
Define and evolve enterprise reference architectures and DevOps standards
Lead DevSecOps strategy, embedding security, compliance, and risk management throughout the software delivery lifecycle
Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight to engineering teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Review and approve infrastructure designs, automation frameworks, and deployment strategies
Mentor engineers and contribute to the organization's cloud and DevOps maturity
