Summer 2027 - Device Characterization Engineering Intern

onsemi•Town of East Fishkill, NY
•$26 - $44

About The Position

The Device Characterization Engineering Intern will support semiconductor device characterization and yield improvement activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Working alongside Device, Integration, Probe/Test, and Process Engineering teams, the intern will analyze electrical test data, identify device- and process-related performance trends, and develop data-driven approaches to improve product yield and manufacturing performance. The role provides hands-on exposure to semiconductor device behavior, electrical characterization, wafer-level test data, statistical analysis, and structured problem solving. The intern will complete a project with a defined technical deliverable that demonstrates measurable improvement or new insight into device or yield performance. The internship offers hands-on industry experience, competitive pay, medical benefits, flexible hours aligned with school schedules, networking opportunities, professional development workshops, project showcases, and access to Employee Resource Groups. onsemi describes internships as a collaborative opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives and develop technical and professional skills. The company states a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
