About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to support people with a developmental disability to achieve their personal goals, travel, meet new friends, establish social roles, learn new skills, connect with family, join new groups, actively participate in the life of their community, support medical needs and personal care.

Requirements

Human Services diplomas (DSW, SSW, PSW, BST, CYW, etc.) or degrees, or transferable personal experience considered equivalent
Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, overnights and weekends
A Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (within the last 6 months)
Current Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI/CPI) Certification
An acceptable medical examination form (provided by Inclusion Northumberland) that relates specifically to the physical demands of the position and is designed to determine whether the applicant is capable of performing the essential duties of the job
A valid Ontario Class G Driver's License
Valid automobile insurance (with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability)
An acceptable Driver's Abstract
Willingness to use personal vehicle to transport persons supported when agency vehicles are not available
