About The Position

This position is for a Developmental Reading Intervention Aide at the elementary level. The aide will provide reading intervention support to students identified as at-risk in reading. This role involves working collaboratively with the Principal and Title I Reading teacher to implement differentiated reading intervention strategies, supervising students as needed, and performing other assigned duties. The position follows the student calendar and is paid per the instructional aide support contract category.

Requirements

• Successful completion of 60 college credits
• Graduate with an Associate’s degree from a university or college OR Demonstrate knowledge of reading, writing, and math by successful completion of the ACT WorkKeys or ParaPro Assessment
• Ability to exercise good judgement in all situations

• Experience working with students preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide reading intervention support to students identified as at-risk in reading.

• Supervising students in the classroom, as needed.
