Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Physical ability to work in a variety of environments, including navigating stairs and other barriers in private residences.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals in developing new skills and achieving their goals as outlined in their Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
  • Provide and maintain a safe, supportive environment for clients at home and in the community.
  • Use positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques to encourage growth.
  • Help clients with home maintenance and daily living activities as prescribed in their plan.
  • Complete accurate documentation of services provided.
  • Collaborate with a Team Leader and IDD Program Director for guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level).
