About The Position

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Neurodevelopmental or Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to join our expanding team as a Clinician or Chief. This is a new and rapidly expanding department currently staffed by one neurodevelopmental pediatrician, nurse practitioners, a PhD-level pediatric psychologist, and a social worker. Additionally, speech, occupational, and physical therapists are available for consultation, and a robust Neuropsychology team provides evaluations for patients with a known history of brain injury, seizures, tumors, and other conditions. The position offers a thriving healthcare system led by physicians and professionally managed, with strong brand recognition attracting new patients. The dynamic administration empowers physician autonomy in clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. The role benefits from a diverse payor mix, comprehensive operational support, and a fully integrated electronic medical record system (Epic).

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA Pediatric Residency.
  • Completion of a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
  • Unrestricted FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • DEA license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neurodevelopmental or developmental-behavioral pediatric care.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, pediatric psychologist, social worker, speech, occupational, and physical therapists.
  • Consult with the Neuropsychology team for patient evaluations.
  • Engage in clinical decision-making and focus on patient outcomes.
