Requirements
- Working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or enrolled to continue education in an accredited graduate program
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating System Installation, Support, and Troubleshooting
- Interest in learning System support and configuration
- Interest in languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible, JavaScript, PowerShell)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Agile software development and support
- System skills on Linux and Windows platforms
- Strong communication and teaming skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Effectively uses teamwork skills to interact and collaborate on technical issues with mentor / team
- Positively contributes to a high morale/high-performance team culture
Responsibilities
- Learn, assist team members, and complete technical tasks to support, automate, and enhance development systems management.
- Evaluate, improve, and automate important system or tool functions (e.g., security, server management, AWS management).
- Understand current implementation, research and propose improvements, and complete technical tasks that will enhance the organization’s Development Support and User teams requirements.
- Learn Operating Systems and networking technology.
- Learn AWS Infrastructure environment.
- Learn Automation tools.
- Learn and collaborate with Development Support technical experts and professionals.
- Learn how the Support team manages, improves, and supports an AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Development servers and networks.
- Apply education to meaningful projects in a team environment alongside a technical mentor.
- Be exposed to many levels of management within the company.
- Recommend solutions to problems/issues that impact the project.
- Determine and examine software alternatives.
- Contribute to project planning.
- Constructively challenge and improve processes related to the specific assignment.
- Document own work.
- Present project overview and summary to executive team at end of internship.
