About The Position

Our Advanced Radar Department has an immediate need for a Development Support Electrical Engineer II. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. In this role, you will foster a culture of trust, transparency, compliance, diversity, inclusion, and accountability. This position will reside within the Cabin Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in a role such as design engineer, production support engineer, network engineer, or process engineer.
  • Experience with analysis of technical data
  • Experience with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
  • Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and tools
  • Experience conducting failure investigations and providing recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
  • Familiarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO9001/AS9100 standards
  • Experience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES
  • Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting hardware and issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), server, switch, and/or component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces
  • Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate to program leadership status updates
  • Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures
  • Ability to travel periodically to different Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%)
