This position supports the station's membership and fundraising efforts by providing excellent customer service, maintaining membership records, assisting with communications and preparing mailings. This position offers valuable experience in nonprofit development, office administration and public communication while working closely with station staff and volunteers. Requirements

  • Must be a current Washburn University or Washburn Tech student.
  • Eligible for Federal Work study employment.
  • Be comfortable speaking on the phone with the public and in person.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite of Products.
  • 50+ words per minute.
  • Ability to concentrate during repetitive tasks.
  • Mailing letters and packages.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Ability to use a copier, scanner, and printer.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Constant Contact and Adobe Express.
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Retail and/or office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with members of the public regarding KTWU memberships.
  • Draft and send member communications using Constant Contact as assigned by the manager.
  • Assist staff and volunteers in preparing bulk mailings.
  • Assist with inventory tasks.
  • Operate office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and printers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Deliver deposits to Morgan Hall, go to UMaps, go to Washburn University. Foundation on Washburn University campus.
