Development Seasonal Community Engagement & Christmas Campaign Associate
About The Position
This position supports The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Campaign by helping to coordinate volunteers, community partnerships, donor engagement activities, and seasonal activities throughout Central Ohio. This temporary position plays a key role in supporting Angel Tree, Red Kettle Campaign, Christmas Cheer, Adopt-A-Family, toy distribution and other holiday initiatives. Responsibilities include volunteer coordination, community outreach, donor engagement, toy drive management, event support, and partnership development. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit management, community relations, event coordination, fundraising support, volunteer leadership, and donor stewardship.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working with diverse groups of volunteers and community partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced seasonal environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during the Christmas season
- Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards
